Halloween 2012

This year we decided to live up Halloween and do a variety of activities. It pretty much started with the pumpkin walk (even though Mike had to work and couldn't come - I took photos for him so he felt like he was there).

Back in the day when we went to USU we made a good friend named Carly. Carly and her husband wanted to get together for dinner so we decided to do a Halloween Dinner Theater. We went to the Old Spaghetti Factory and saw "Dracula." It was pretty good. I like how they interact with the audience and make you feel like a part of the show, actually some people really were. Some parts were a little over the top but others were really really funny. Not to mention the food was delicious and it was soooo fun to see Carly and Mike again.
This actress sang throughout the dinner and enjoyed hanging onto Mike while she sang.  LoL. She did this to a few other guys as well.
Saturday morning we went to Alisha's and she sewed up Mike's Halloween costume. Our original plan was duct tape so we were happy she offered to help when she found out the plan. We ran some errands (including seeing the new Scheel's store and doing big brother big sister with Kaitlyn).
Afterwards we went to a Spactacular Halloween Party hosted by one of my old coworkers and friends Jennie Moore. She had decorated everything in true Hallowen fashion, made lots of Halloween themed food and planned tons of games! She really went all out! It was so fun for us to spend time with her and her sweet husband as well as to meet many of their friends (one of which lived only two blocks from me growing up - random)!
Mike went with a hole in his stomach:
I went as an American Tourist :)
Mike's costume was everyone's favorite and it was my favorite too. It was totally awesome to walk behind him and actually see through him and see what was coming up. By far the most "inovative" costume I've ever seen. In fact, he won an award for it being just that :)
It had been a long day by the time we got back to Orem but all the hustle and bustle was totally worth it because of all the fun.

Sunday we took it easy, went to church, watched a movie, and made some caramel apples (one item to cross off Mike's Fall Activity Wish List).
Monday we went to Brian and Alisha's to carve some pumpkins with them and their girls. It's always so much fun to see them and I love that we are a mere 15 minutes away. It's really nice having them so close to us. They provide us with lots of fun times and are always there for anything we need.
Ady really only wanted to watch the Incredibles and eat popcorn. She wasn't much into carving pumpkins until we had them all lit up. She was good at coming up and sitting on the floor to talk with us.
Me and Mike's Jack-O-Lanterns. We waited too long to take the pictures of them lit and my ghosts kinda shriveled up :( Oh well. I thought Mike rocked the Headless Horseman.
Top two pumpkins were Annika's, the bottom ones are Brian and Alisha's.
Tuesday we went to the grocery store and picked up some ingredients to make Chili. We made the Chili for my work Halloween party the next day.
Wednesday, the big day, was busy as ever.

Both of our places of employment had food to celebrate the holiday. However, I am the only one that took photos.

We both got doughnuts. (Mike got Krispy Kreme and I got Madbrook), my work had approximately 30 different kinds of Chili and breadsticks, Mike's had Chicken Noodle Soup in a breadbowl. I had a fantastic cake, Mike had to die for Apple Crisp. Haha. Sounds like we both had pretty fantastic food filled days right? Right!
Madbrook Donuts. I am not sure why everyone loves them so much. But they do come in a fun triangle shape.

Coworkers: Me, Jessica, and Jim
Me, Mark, Chuma, Chad, and Jessica - I loved Chuma's shark costume!
Add Jenny and Jim
We came home and got ready for our final halloween party. My old roommate and another newly wed (October 5) Tiffany Arbuckle was having a Halloween Party at her house. She is a fashion designer and definitely has an eye for detail. She took Pinterest, and showed it who was boss by decorating her house so fabulously and by making tons of yummy and fun Halloween food.

We had so much fun and we are so thankful that we are surrounded by wonderful friends and family. Because obviously what would this holiday have been without everyone? (It would have been lame!)
This lovely pic was posted on the Rock's  Facebook page.  Just a little Halloween Treat for everyone :)
