Stadium of Fire 2011

Mike's brother Skyler invited us to go to the Stadium of Fire with their family. Mike was really excited about it, so we went. Being from Cache Valley, my family always went to the fireworks at the USU stadium so this was my first time to the Stadium of Fire. It was really fun.
We had a BBQ at their house before. Catina made these really cute fruit/brownie kabobs for dessert. I loved the idea of them.

Here are some pics from the evening:
Mike & I:

Skyler, Catina, and Tyrek

They started off with the Star Spangled Banner being sung by David Archuleta. It was fun because they had a video of him singing at the Stadium of Fire back when he was like 12. Then he picked up singing live from the stage.
I didn't record it but here is a video I found of it:

They had sky divers land in the stadium, which was really fun. Especially now that I know what sky diving is like. :0) I want to do that one day. I got this little video clip of the last sky diver taking out a camera man with the American flag. LoL. He actually took out the blue little barracade wall and everything. Like 6 seconds into the clip you will see what all the excitement was about. ;0)

Then the Stadium of Fire Dancers came out and performed. They performed very well and were lots of fun to watch.

Ty really liked watching the fireworks at the end of the performance.

Stephen Jones hosted the first ever Stadium of Fire talent show. He was in this YouTube video of the BYU Harold B. Lee library.

He was hilarious! At one point he was walking around in the crowd talking to people and he asked a couple how long they had been dating. They said, "a little over three years." He said, "And your not engaged?" They said, "No." And he walks away while muttering, "Faith over fear people, faith over fear." That had to be my favorite comment of the evening. He was just so matter of fact about it and it just came to him so quickly - it was good. (A little bit of the favortism may also come from the fact that I know a couple in that same boat. LoL. ;0)

Anyway, David Archuleta performed and was so much fun to watch. I just think that he is one of the cutest kids ever. He seems so humble and sweet.

Brad Paisley was also really fun to watch and we enjoyed his songs and performances as well.

After Brad was the main attraction... the FIREWORKS!!!!
The first video has a little dancing while the fireworks were starting, the second is all fireworks.

This is how mesmerized Tyrek was while watching the fireworks.

And this is his face when Uncle Mike scares him ;0)

It was a lot of fun and I am glad that we got to go. Thanks for the invite guys!
